Editor-in-Chief’s Word

Good luck, Sino!

A scientific journal, as a type of periodical publication (print or electronic), is considered the primary carrier of scientific information in the modern world. An article published in a scientific journal is not only an indicator of the effectiveness of a scientist’s scientific work but is also considered a treasure trove of world science. Furthermore, publishing materials in specialized scientific journals as a means of scientific communication provides a significant impetus to the development of the relevant field of scientific knowledge.
In this regard, based on our professional experience in the field of scientific medical journalism, our contribution to the development of scientific periodicals and academic thought during the period of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, and also relying on the principle of continuity of enduring values, we have named our Eurasian scientific and medical journal “Sino” in honor of the great physician-encyclopedist and brilliant scientist Avicenna. His immortal work, “The Canon of Medicine,” was a reference encyclopedia for several centuries – a treasure trove of medical knowledge that consistently and widely covered it. Researchers have calculated that Avicenna excelled in 29 branches of knowledge.
Sino successfully studied medicine and poetry, philosophy and astronomy, logic and mathematics. At the same time, he is rightly considered the greatest physician in history.
Avicenna’s unrivaled work, The Canon of Medicine, the most widely circulated publication after the Bible until the 17th century, was the main medical guide both in the East and the West.
Sino was one of the first to generalize, consolidate and introduce into medical practice the most realistic and effective experience of medicine from various schools and views, from the Avesta, Dioscrides, Hippocrates, Galen to his compatriots – Zachariah Razi (Rhazes), al-Biruni, Jurjoni, Farabi, Muwaffaq and many other physicians-educators, luminaries of science – the founders of the flourishing of medicine in the Samanid period.
Based on the greatness of his personality, we believe that the name “Sino” is not subject to declension.
The main goal of the Eurasian scientific and medical journal “Sino” is to preserve the interethnic scientific communication, development of cooperation and consolidation of the scientific community, presentation of domestic scientists and their achievements, stimulation of scientists of the region to conduct joint modern innovative research, as well as dissemination of knowledge in the field of promising areas of modern medical science.
The pages of the journal will publish original scientific articles presenting the results of fundamental, experimental and clinical research, scientific reviews reflecting the results of research in various fields of medicine, materials with descriptions of clinical cases, information of a biographical and historical-medical nature.
In addition, we will regularly inform the scientific community about congresses, conferences, symposia held in the Eurasian region and the world.
Dear colleagues! Dear friends!
On behalf of the editorial board, I cordially welcome you to the release of the first issue of the Eurasian Scientific and Medical Journal “Sino,” and we hope that our journal will become a kind of intellectual platform for scientists and researchers of Eurasia.
Bon voyage, “Sino,” and we wish our readers health, happiness, and prosperity!

 Sincerely,
Editor-in-Chief Rustam Tursunzoda
